香港引TRUEBEAM系统做图像引导放射治疗

治疗癌症的辅助科技持续进步。日前香港养和医院 (Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital) 表示，该医院引进了瓦瑞安医疗系统公司 (Varian Medical Systems) 提供的TrueBeam系统来支持癌症治疗。

香港养和医院放射治疗部主任、医学博士关永康透露，该院在9月28日，让临床医师们使用该新系统，对骨转移病灶进行缓解治疗，然后于10月6日再次使用该系统，对一名头颈癌患者进行图像引导的调强放射治疗。他认为TrueBeam 系统较前几代技术有所改进。它具有出众的三维成像功能，这使医疗人员能够非常准确地对肿瘤进行靶向治疗。利用这个系统，医疗人员亦能够迅速对肿瘤进行高剂量治疗，同时限制周围组织和器官所受的影响。

关永康指，TrueBeam 系统具备使治疗与患者的呼吸运动实现同步的能力，以及在治疗过程中生成实时图像的能力，这些特殊的功能让医疗人员能够确认在整个治疗过程中，对肿瘤进行准确的靶向治疗，为疗程带来了更高的准确性，可说是创新的医疗技术演进。
